Feasting in Phoenix

FAQ

Welcome to Feasting in Phoenix!

Who is Seth Chadwick?

I am a native of Phoenix all of my life except for a few years when I went to grad school and lived back East for a spell. I am 43 years old, have a passion for food, and love my fiance, the semi-famous J.

Why should I read this blog?

If you are looking for straight-forward, honest, pull-no-punches reviews of restaurants around the Phoenix-metro area (and some other places around the U.S.), then you should read this blog.

Do people mind you using your camera in restaurants?

Not at all. No one from the restaurants I have visited have ever bothered me. I warn my dining companions beforehand of what I will be doing. Most are supportive of what I am doing.

I went to one of the restaurants you reviewed and my experience was so different from yours. What gives?

Any restaurant review is a “snapshot in time.” I only report what I experienced at the time I went. By and large, my reviews tend to mirror what people generally have experienced. Sometimes, I will hit a restaurant on a night when the service is bad. I will report that because it would be unfair to let that slide because the restaurant is everyone’s favorite.

Does anyone pay you to do these reviews?

No. Although when I have my meals with friends or acquaintances, they will often pick up the check.

Do you work for a newspaper or magazine?

No. This is a blog. People often think that I have newspaper ties or I work for a magazine or that I am a reporter. I am a blogger. If you need some information on what a blogger is, check out Wikipedia.com for answers.

How can I subscribe to your food blog?

Easy. You can either subscribe from an RSS feed or via email. Both options are available on the front page.

I am a restaurant owner and I think you gave my establishment an unfair review. Who do I complain to?

You complain to me. You can contact me via the “Contact Seth Chadwick” form or you can leave your comments on the post regarding your business.

A word of warning: if you are not polite, I will simply delete your comment and ban your IP address.

Who is Madge?

Madge is a dear friend. She is brash, eccentric, wacky, fun and just a great woman. Everyone should have a Madge in their lives.
