Howdy, folks! Last week, I was interviewed on “Computer America,” a nationally syndicated talk show about Feasting in Phoenix. I was on for about an hour and asked a variety of questions about the blog and my reviews. If you would like to take a listen to the program, you can do so by going [...]

Feasting in Phoenix: Two Years and Counting

Wow. Just wow. Two years ago today I fired up an account on Blogger and started writing about a tiny Middle Eastern Deli over on 16th Street. I didn’t get the thing finished until after midnight, so the first blog post for Feasting in Phoenix was on the 20th, but I am celebrating today. Two [...]

Some Housekeeping

Over the past few weeks, I have had some difficulties with the site due to a problem with changes to my blog platform (WordPress) and the theme that I had been using. Due to some technical glitches, I had to abandon my old theme and replace it with something else. I was hoping to be [...]

Hello, dear readers! I wanted to let you know that I am tweaking a few things on the website, so if you get an “Under Maintenance” page, there is no need to panic. Most of it has to do with spam filters and fending off pesky hackers. One thing that is being added is more [...]

ACACIA? ARCADIA? ACACACA? Word on the street has been that there would be something new going into the space formerly occupied by a Quizno’s near 36th Street and East Indian School Road. The sign says that it is the Acacia Cafe. That is at least what I think it says because the sign is very [...]

Ajo Al’s In Serious Trouble and Other News

» by Seth Chadwick June 29th, 2006 at 6:27 pm » Comments (9)

I used to go to Ajo Al’s on 16th Street just north of Camelback every now and then, but I stopped going last year when I looked up their health inspections online and saw that they were always getting serious violations and low scores. Apparently, they haven’t learned anything because KTAR-AM reported today that the [...]

It seems as though the Western Pizza located on 48th Street and Indian School Road in East Phoenix has closed up shop. The space is now being used by something called “Red Tomato.” It seems it may be another pizza joint or casual Italian. I only hope it has better service than Western Pizza. —– [...]

Wow! Who would have thought it. It was a year ago today that I started “Feasting in Phoenix” over at Blogger and it all started with a trip to The Middle East Bakery & Deli over on 16th Street. Because of this event, I want to take the opportunity to thank some people who have [...]

I got an nice email from the people at the Heart Attack Grill, one of my favorite hamburger joints in Phoenix-metro. They have opened a new location at the corner of Broadway and Hardy in Tempe. If you go to their website and sign up for their Angus Club, you can go there tomorrow and [...]
